terrorism in india-the truth

Terrorism and killing of innocent people anywhere in the world are not only condemnable but portray the worst face of human behavior in this world. Regarding terrorist activities in India, the government of India has always been neglecting the reality; instead it has always put blame on Pakistan. The fact is that the majority of the people arrested and booked for terrorist activities are innocent people. The police and intelligence agencies always pick up a few Muslim youth and try to get the reward in the shape of awards and promotions. These innocent people don’t get the fair trial and are demonized as terrorists.
Regarding the growth of Ismalist terrorism, it is the reaction to the growing insecurity and feeling of alienation in the Indian Muslim community. This is the community which chose to be the part of secular India but still after contributing everything for their country is always dubbed as anti national. After every few years an episode takes place that makes them feel dejected and discriminated. Bihar riots, Babri masjid, Bombay riots, Gujrat genocide etc. These episodes would not have deterred the secular Muslims but what pushes them to the wall, is the discriminatory attitude of the so called secular governments. The people like Narendar Modi and Bal Thackeray who openly threaten the Muslims to get hinduised or leave the country , are worshiped in India.Modi got elected in Gujarat second time after committing the genocide of Muslims there.
How can Muslims take the lead in secularizing the country where they are facing worst kind of communal frenzy.Mr Nayar claims that majority of the population in India is secular, but where was this majority when the Muslims were being charred to death in Gujarat and the Christian nuns were burnt alive.I believe Mr. Nayar may be correct in saying that the majority is secular, so it becomes the responsibility of this majority to identify the conditions that breed these terrorists. For the last sixty years India has not been able to come out of the partition of India. India should accept the realities and face those realities with sincerity. They can’t keep on denying the basic human rights to a particular community and still try to expect loyalties in return. Muslim community in India is the second largest population of Muslims in any country of the world after Indonesia. India needs to accept this community as a part of their nation and give them their due rights. Feeling of alienation has to be curbed. One cannot kill a thousand mosquitoes and feel he is safe from dengue unless the conditions that breed those mosquitoes are not taken care of.
